Regulations

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BOOKING AND STAYING AT RK HOSTEL, KRAKÓW 

 

  1. The reception is open and available 24 hours a day.

  2. Single rooms are rented for a period of a hostel day.

The hostel day begins on the day of renting, but no sooner than at 14.00. Guests are welcome at any time of day. The room / the bed will be made ready for the guests as soon as it is possible, however, one should take into account the time necessary for their preparation, as well as the fact that the guests who rented the room / the bed the night before are to check out before 12.00.

The hostel day ends at 12.00 and this is the time when the room is to be left, and the keys returned to the hostel reception. Guests are required to declare checking out even if they are not obliged to return the key. If a guest did not state the duration of intended stay and rented single room, it is assumed that they were rented for a period of one hostel day. Prolonging the duration of stay declared upon booking the stay or on the day of renting should be stated at the reception desk before 10.00 on the day on which the rent expires. The hostel considers prolonging the duration of stay provided that there are rooms available.

Not checking out before 12.00 will result in the calculation of a fee for another hostel day but does not guarantee prolongation of stay.

If an individual room is not left by 12.00 and the room or bed has been booked for the following hostel day by another guest, the hostel service is entitled to enter the room when the guest is absent, pack his or her bags and put them in the left luggage room.

  1. You may book a room our website - www.rkhostel.pl using credit card. Such booking automatically becomes confirmed.

Booking may also be done personally at the hostel’s reception desk, by telephone +48 12 296 36 55 or by e-mail reservation@rkhostel.pl . However, such booking requires additional confirmation which can be performed in two ways:

  • by credit card – entering the number and expiry date means accepting the hostel’s charging of the fee for the first booked night, in case the guest does not show up or cancels the booking too late;

  • by advance payment of the fee for the first booked night – the payment should be made no later than 5 days from booking or after the period agreed upon with the reception. Not paying within the abovementioned period will result in automatic cancellation of the booking.

  1. Booking may be cancelled or modified if the hostel reception is notified by mail no later than 48 hours before the cancelled booking (i.e. a booking for 10 April may be cancelled till midnight on 10 April). In such case, the equivalent of advance payment fee will be transferred to the bank account it was sent from. If payment was made with credit card, no fee will be charged. Otherwise, the advance payment will be kept or the fee for 1 hostel day will be charged from credit card. Within the duration of stay it is possible to shorten the stay provided that the reception is notified 24 hours before the beginning of another hostel day.

  2. Need for invoice should be stated when placing the booking. The invoice may be issued no later than 7 days from the day of payment (both advance payment and final payment), the abovementioned period may be extended up to 3 months if the invoice is to be issued for a natural person who does not run an enterprise. After the abovementioned period the hostel will refuse to issue the invoice.

  3. The hostel may state the minimum period of rent (e.g. 3 days). In such case, booking needs to be confirmed by making advance payment equal to the fee for the whole of minimum period of rent; the stay not may not be reduced below the minimum number of nights; if booking is cancelled too late, the fee charged from the credit card will be that for the minimum period of rent.

  4. Single rooms are let to particular individuals who, upon checking in, are asked to show their IDs. Letting or exchanging single rooms by guests is unacceptable, even if the period of rent paid in advance has not expired.

  5. Persons not registered in the hostel are allowed to stay in the guest’s room between 6.00 and 23.00.

  6. The time between 23 and 6.00 is the quiet hours. Within this period, persons using the hostel services are obliged to behave in such a way that tey do not disturb other guests and the tennants of neighbouring buildings.

  7. The last person to leave room should check if the door has been locked. The key should be returned to the reception. If a key is lost, a 50 PLN fee will be charged.

  8. Sheets and towels are included in the price.

  9. The hostel offers all guests so called common facilities: kitchens, TV rooms. Please make sure these places are kept tidy and clean.

  10. The hostel is a non-smoking area. Persons who violate his rule will be charged a 100 PLN fine.

  11. For safety reasons it is not allowed to use in rooms water heaters, irons and other similar devices which are not part of room’s equipment. This does not include chargers and RTV / computer power packs.

  12. Moving any room equipment without the reception’s approval is not allowed.

  13. On guests’ request the hostel offers following free-of-charge services:

  • giving information related to stay and travelling;

  • waking guests up at a specified time;

  • keeping money and valuables in a safety deposit box while renting bed / room;

  • keeping guests’ luggage before checking in and after checking out;

  • using lockers;

  • wireless internet access around the whole building; (the password will be given to the guest at the reception desk)

18. The hostel is entitled to refuse renting a room / bed to a guest whose behaviour violated the rules of the hostel or in any other way violated general rules of social relations. Such guests may also be checked out before expiry of their stay with no money return.

19. Guests are fully responsible for any damage done to equipment and devices which was caused by themselves or people who visit them.

20. The hotel is permanently protected by a people and property security company.

21. Common facilities of the hostel are constantly monitored.

22. The hostel is liable in law for any loss or damage of guests’ belongings remaining in the hostel, as long as those belongings were kept in a safe place, according to art. 846-849 of the Civil Code. In case of loss or damage to guests belongings, the reception should be notified immediately.

23. The hostel’s liability for the loss or damage to guests’ money, documents, valuables or objects possessing scientific or artistic value is limited unless these objects are deposited in the hostel’s safety deposit.

24. The hostel is not liable for any damage or loss of vehicles belonging to guests.

25. Any personal objects left in the hostel by guests may be sent back to them on their request and cost. Otherwise, the hostel considers keeping such objects for 1 month and their disposal after this period expires.

26. The hostel’s management and staff will make sure the services offered in the facility are of high standard. Should any reservations arise on your part, we kindly ask you to raise the issue immediately to the reception. This will make it possible for us to react duly.

27. Guests are entitled to submit complaints should they find any negligence in the quality of services offered by the hostel.
